Message from Megan:
Hello my fitness friend! Please know that I have once been in your shoes before, struggling to achieve my fitness goals, happiness with my body, and the confidence within myself to help me succeed in all of my endeavors. It seemed like I tried everything; every diet, every approach to exercise with no result. That is when I changed my perspective on things. I vowed to make a permanent lifestyle change. I took the word diet out of my vocabulary and replaced it with clean eating. I began making my goals more achievable and put them in writing where they could be seen daily. I stopped being so hard on myself and realized that being healthy and fit is a step by step process. I vowed to continually improve myself day by day. I started having fun with my food, not depriving myself of things that I liked. I started working out with a partner and gained support from my family and friends. After these things, I began seeing the results I had longed for and it ultimately shaped me into the confident, happy woman and trainer I am today.
Today, I feel honored to share with you the information and steps that helped me achieve my personal success and many of my client’s successes. Know that you are not alone in your journey and you have full support from me and your peers sharing in this 8 week journey with us. Now get a big smile on your face and let’s get this party started!!!!
MEET YOUR TRAINER!!!
A childhood filled with sports and daily outdoor activities was where it all started for 32 year old Louisiana native, Megan Bologna. From softball, to soccer, to being the only girl on her flag football team, she participated in it all! At age 16, Megan took a step back from athletics and decided to enter the Miss Louisiana Teen USA pageant. It was at that time that her mom hired a certified personal trainer and competitive bodybuilder to train her for the swimsuit portion of the competition. Instantly, she fell in love with lifting weights and the dedication and self-discipline training for a competition required. She never felt anything like the feeling she got from pushing herself further and further in the gym. This helped her achieve one of her dreams growing up of competing in the nationally televised Miss Teen USA pageant in 2003.
4 weeks later at age 19, Megan enrolled at Louisiana State University and instantly declared her major of Kinesiology, where she studied the areas of sports medicine and fitness studies. There she had the opportunity to work with the LSU soccer team and football team as a student athletic trainer and sports performance coach.
In 2005, Megan became a nationally certified personal trainer, accumulating 9 years of experience in sports medicine, sports performance, one on one training and group fitness to date. She currently trains a variety of clientele from ages 12 to 70 in a small gym in Louisiana, and is one of the most recognized trainers in the pageant industry, preparing clients for competitions all over the world. Health and fitness have been a huge part of her entire life thus far, and she hopes to change the lives of others by sharing her knowledge and love of health and fitness with everyone she possibly can!!
